New position – Maternity cover & possible long-term employment
We are looking for a motivated Architect/Designer with technical knowledge to join our team to cover maternity leave initially, with the prospect of full-time employment to assist the Planning Team Manager. Must have at least 5 years’ proven experience working within the industry and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of design concepts.
Project management/Project runner – Manage your own projects while working directly with the client to achieve their design requirements within a given timeframe. Running projects from survey through to building regulations – Carrying out surveys, drawing up the existing and proposed design, assisting the Technical team working through the construction/technical details following planning approval.
Team management (planning) – Overseeing and monitoring progress of projects on a daily basis and assisting the design team as and when required. – Review and guide the design team throughout the design process and sign off drawings for planning submission. Keen eye for detail and Knowledge of planning polices and standards essential, including experience working on a variety of small and large-scale projects.
Carrying out new lead appointments when required – Visiting sites and confirming project briefs and requirements for fee proposals.
37.5 + hours per week (office based)
Proficient using AutoCAD/outlook/word/excel, knowledge of Photoshop/PowerPoint and other application software an advantage.
