Aspire Architects have worked carefully with the client, and Christchurch Planning Department, to design a new build residential development on the site of a former restaurant which was in disrepair.  The site is within a strategic flood zone and by using a change of use/ replacement building planning strategy we achieved permission for the development, something that is extremely rare in Christchurch. The project is also on a prominent site within an established residential area, it was therefore important to find a solution that was acceptable in terms of planning policy and in keeping with the neighbouring properties.  The development will provide 5 new cluster houses, with parking, in a popular area of Christchurch.
