Project Overview: Conversion of Detached Three-Storey HMO into Self-Contained Flats
This project involved the transformation of an existing three-storey detached HMO into four self-contained flats, featuring comprehensive internal and external alterations. The scope of work included:
- Demolition of the existing ground floor side extension, rear conservatory, and outbuildings.
- Removal and replacement of internal partitions and party walls.
- New door and window placements.
- Addition of a ground floor corner-infill extension with a flat roof, complemented by a walk-out balcony above.
- Installation of walk-out balconies on the front elevation and Juliette balconies with glass balustrades on the first floor.
- Introduction of rooflights, dormer structures, and a walk-out terrace on the second floor.
- Creation of new communal spaces, including a staircase for access.
- Provision of an integral bin store, separate external bike store, and a garden room.
- Front parking spaces with updated external surfacing, drainage, and boundary improvements.
The project also had new render and cladding applied to the exterior walls, along with the installation of a new slate roofing finish.
